Development and history
  • 2021 - Univ.-Prof.in Dr.in Elisabeth Berger wis appointed Professor of Entrepreneurship - New Business Venturing and Innovative Regions at the JKU and elected head of the institute. Corresponding renaming of the Institute for Business Creation and Development to Institute for Entrepreneurship in November 2021.
  • 2003 - Univ.-Prof. Dr. Norbert Kailer is appointed Professor of Business Creation and Development at the JKU and appointed Head of the Institute.
  • 2003 - Due to high student interest, the chair is established as a regular institute of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Economics, also under the direction of Prof. Dr. Alfred Gutschelhofer.
  • 2000 - The first endowed chair in Austria was established for a limited period of three years in the 2000/01 academic year under the direction of Prof. Dr. Alfred Gutschelhofer.
  • 1998 - Initiation of the pilot project "Project studies for business start-ups".
