Johannes Thaller had the opportunity to visit the Chair for Management Accounting and Control of Univ.-Prof. Dr. Martin Hiebl at the University of Siegen. During his stay abroad, he was able to take part in various bachelor's and master's courses, which gave him valuable ideas for his own courses at the Institute for Management Control and Consulting in Linz.

In addition, an exchange on ongoing research projects of the chair was organized. As part of this, Johannes Thaller presented a current paper on the subject of "Values in family businesses". The joint discussion with Prof. Hiebl and the other participants from the chair stimulated new ideas for further publication preparation.

The stay abroad also offered the opportunity to take part in other appointments of the chair and to make new contacts with colleagues and doctoral students. This stay was an extremely enriching experience for Johannes Thaller, which opened up new perspectives for him both in teaching and in research.
