On Friday, January 12, 2024, the students experienced a special guest lecture in the “Basics of Management Accounting” course. A team from Raiffeisen Banking Group Upper Austria gave them insights into the practical side of banking. Mag. Andreas Flotzinger (Controlling) and Mag. Florian Grugl (HR) first introduced the company and then went into the special features of the banking industry. In this context, the participants gained interesting insights into balance sheet and profit and loss statements that are particularly relevant for banks. The students were also introduced to cost accounting in the banking sector.

Using comprehensive specialist knowledge and authentic examples from everyday life at the bank, they clearly guided the students through the diverse aspects of operational controlling. The lecture was rounded off by Mag. Florian Grugl, who introduced the Raiffeisen Banking Group Upper Austria as an employer.
