by Dr. Andreas Göttfert on March 18, 2024

[Translate to Englisch:] Gastvortrag Göttfert

As part of the intensive course “Ethics – Effects of Entrepreneurial Action”, Dr. Andreas Göttfert (Ocilion IPTV Technologies GmbH) presented interesting insights into the capital market from an ethical perspective.

The guest lecture entitled “Ethics in the context of the capital market and banks or in the ‘microcosm’ of companies” initially examined the question of which fundamental ethical considerations are relevant in the capital market, in the banking sector and in companies. Building on this, various facets of the capital market were presented with particular attention to sustainability and critically reflected on based upon practical considerations. In addition, the importance of ethics for companies was clarified and a possible contradiction between ethics and financial success was discussed using various examples. In addition to stimulating ethical considerations, the students were also able to gain insights into the financing activities of companies. Questions and discussions rounded off the lecture.
