"LIT BREAKFAST BRIEFING"
Our new LIT Breakfast Briefings not only provide a brief introduction to cutting-edge research currently being conducted at the JKU, but also take a look at the potential to apply key research developments to address real-world problems. Two topics – 30 minutes. And coffee is included!
December 10, 2019, 8:30 – 9:00 AM, Forum - LIT Open Innovation Center, JKU
Program:
• “Molecular Communication: New Perspectives on Smart Drug Delivery.” Werner Haselmayr (Institute for Communications Engineering and RF-Systems)
Molecular communication broadly defines the information exchange using chemical signals. This presentation shows that that the molecular communication paradigm is a promising approach to develop novel drug delivery systems. In particular, we talk about the JKU’s efforts in this emerging interdisciplinary research area.
• “Explainable AI: Visualizing Complex Algorithms and Machine Learning Models.”
Marc Streit (JKU Institute of Computer Graphics; datavisyn)
Complex algorithms and machine learning models are often difficult to understand. During this short presentation, I will present recent work on Explainable AI using visualization to open the black box of machine learning.
Coffee & croissants provided. Kindly sign up in advance to attend by December 3, 2019
