The Professorship of Business Analytics and Technology Transformation strengthens the Supply Chain and Information Management Division of the JKU Business School. It is provisionally assigned to the Institute of Production and Logistics Management.

Markus Sinnl studied computer science at the Vienna University of Technology and received his doctorate in Operations Research from the University of Vienna. In 2021 he received the Venia Docendi (habilitation) for Operations Research. He is ranked among the most research-active scientists in business administration under 40 years of age in German-speaking countries. He is currently leading an FWF-funded COVID-19 project that deals with methods of mathematical programming in the context of pandemic networks.
