Welcome to the Institute of Sociology!

Our research focuses on questions linked to social inequalities and social change at regional, national, European and global level. Our research aims to contribute significantly to the democratic solution of individual and societal challenges.

If you are interested in the debate about the dynamics and challenges of modern society, we invite you to study sociology and/or participate in our activities. As part of the degree programme, you can expect a thorough investigation of sociological topics based on various theoretical concepts and methodological approaches that have considerable practical, real-world relevance.
