First Transalpine Organizing Creativity Paper Development Workshop at JKU

Creativity Workshop Welcome

Given the growing community of creativity researchers at JKU Business School, Claudio Biscaro (Institute of Leadership and Change Management), Elke Schüßler (Institute of Organization Science) and Fabrizio Montanari (University of Modena and Reggio Emilia) got together to host the "First Transalpine Organizing Creativity Paper Development Workshop" at JKU. Elke Schüßler and her team have for several years been researching processes and practices of organizing creativity as part of an DFG/FWF-funded research unit, öffnet eine externe URL in einem neuen Fenster, whereas Claudio Biscaro and his team focus on cognitive and network dynamics of creativity. Both have collaborated with Fabrizio Montanari and his research group on creative industries. To bridge communities and revitalize and connect several creativity and creative industries-focused communities that used to meet regularly at EGOS, the paper development workshop invited scholars from all over the world to discuss their work in progress and get feedback from a renowned international faculty, including professors Joerg Sydow (FU Berlin), Gernot Grabher (HCU Hamburg), Simone Ferriani (University of Bologna & Bayes Business School), Sara Lombardi (University of Florence), Pier Vittorio Mannucci (Bocconi) as well as the local faculty consisting of Robert Bauer, Elke Schüßler, Claudio Biscaro and co-organizer Fabrizio Montanari. The group of scholars was excited about the workshop and encouraged the community-building effort, so that the plan is to establish a workshop series that regularly takes place between JKU, Italy and Germany.
