The article "Crowdsourcing: Global Search and the Twisted Roles of Consumers and Producers, öffnet eine Datei" by Robert M. Bauer and Thomas Gegenhuber has recently appeared in a Special Issue of "Organization" titled "Organizations and their Consumers, öffnet eine Datei" (guest editors: Yiannis Gabriel, Marek Korczynski and Kerstin Rieder).
The paper grew out of a dialogue that started three years ago, exploring how crowdsourcing could contribute to firms´ innovative efforts. Bauer and Gegenhuber further stimulate the debate on how crowdsourcing creates value and how the rapid growth of crowdsourcing impacts society.
