Microservice Decision Guidance and Management

Wirtschaftsinformatik – Software Engineering

Microservices is a software architecture for highly scalable enterprise software systems. Establishing a microservice architecture is complex and requires decisions impacting software architecture, team organization, IT infrastructure, and operation. We developed methods and tools for supporting microservice decision making based on microservice decision models. Results are several decision models for microservices decision making, an approach for decision documentation and a recommender system for decision making. The project was funded by the FFG COMET program and performed in a cooperation between JKU, Software Competence Center Hagenberg (SCCH), and Raiffeisen Software.
