JKU researchers usually present and discuss their research projects during the Lunch Time Seminar series. During recent seminars, these discussions have focused on how to publish successfully. The first Lunch Time Seminar in November 2021 featured a panel discussion of experts in different editorial functions that was organized by  Dr. Tanja Wolf (Institute of Controlling & Consulting) and Assist. Prof. Dr. Thomas Brunner-Kirchmair (Institute of Finance).

The following experts not only provided interesting and insightful information about the publication process, but useful suggestions for researchers as well:

  • Univ.-Prof. Dr. Matthias Fink (Institut für Innovationsmanagement)
  • Assoz. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Barbara Müller (Institut für Personalführung und Veränderungsmanagement)
  • Univ.-Prof. Dr. Sophie Parragh (Institut für Produktions- und Logistikmanagement)
  • Univ.-Prof. Dr. Elke Schüßler (Institut für Organisation)
  • Univ.-Prof. Dr. Martin R. W. Hiebl (Lehrstuhl für Management Accounting and Control, Universität Siegen).

The lively panel discussion addressed various questions, including:

  • What is an editor's area of responsibility and what kind of challenges does he/she often face?
  • What should researchers know about the submission process?
  • What can researchers do in order to be more successful during the publication process?

A reception organized by the JKU Business School followed the event, giving participants an opportunity to continue discussions as well as exchange viewpoints and ideas, .
