Review Lunch Time Seminar

Discussion and networking in the informal research seminar

[Translate to Englisch:] (c) JKU

On 2 June, around 25 academics met at the Lunch Time Seminar to discuss two current research projects.

Mag. Nicole Trudenberger from the Institute of Management Accounting and Auditing reported on her empirical study in which she analysed the influence of demographic characteristics (e.g. age, experience, education) on the initial recognition of goodwill in the context of mergers & acquisitions. MMag. Dr. Martin Stabauer from the Institute for Digital Business presented several papers exploring the circumstances under which private users disclose data.

The presentations were followed by an intensive discussion. In addition, the two discussants Mag. Dr. Melanie Lubinger, BSc, from the Institute for Controlling and Consulting and Univ.-Prof. Dr. Alexander Zauner, MA from the Institute for Retailing, Sales and Marketing provided valuable advice for the speakers.

Those who could not attend this time and who enjoyed this meeting can already look forward to the next meeting, which will take place on 9 November 2022 from 12:30-14:00.

About the event: The Lunch Time Seminar takes place about three times a year and is organised by Birgit Grüb-Martin (Institute of Management Accounting) and Thomas Brunner-Kirchmair (Institute of Corporate Finance). The basic idea is that academics from Fachbereich BWL/WIN meet in an informal setting, exchange ideas and receive feedback on research work.
