REVIEW to the CFO-Talk: „Leading in times of change - experiences and developments“

Presentation and discussion with Dr. Karl Steinmayr (managing director of HABAU Hoch- und Tiefbaugesellschaft mbH. and CFO of HABAU GROUP, Perg)

[Translate to Englisch:] o. Univ. Prof. Dr. Helmut Pernsteiner und Dr. Karl Steinmayr

Dr. Karl Steinmayr gave the audience, including students, practice representatives and employees of the JKU, interesting and personal insights into the role of a managing director on March 28, 2022. Dr. Karl Steinmayr is Managing Director of HABAU Hoch- und Tiefbaugesellschaft mbH. and CFO of the HABAU GROUP, one of the largest construction companies in Austria.

For this, Dr. Karl Steinmayr threw the word RENAISSANCE into the room, which turned out to be an acronym for buzzwords in connection with managing a company in changing times. With "R" for respect, via "C" for controlling to "E" for empathy, the speaker addressed important factors for successful leadership. Megatrends such as sustainability and digitization determine the change in these factors.

Following the personal insights into the world of an executive, Prof. Dr. Helmut Pernsteiner initiated a discussion in which the audience participated actively. Dr. Karl Steinmayr answered questions such as the effects of the Corona pandemic on the construction industry, the sustainability performance of the company group and the advantages of a privately managed, non-listed company.

Dr. Karl Steinmayr studied law at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz, has since worked in various industries and has been instrumental in shaping the course of the company group (HABAU Hoch- und Tiefbaugesellschaft mbH. and HABAU GROUP) since 2008.

Afterwards, Dr. Karl Steinmayr invited on behalf of HABAU to an exchange of ideas over finger food and refreshments.
