Heterogeneous catalysts for the transformation of CO2

CO2 is considered the main contributor to anthropogenic climate change, and as of 2024, the global average atmospheric concentration of CO2 was 425 ppm. Climate change's impact on quality of life is projected to be severe. Hence, a circular carbon economy and effective CO2 transformation technologies are highly desired.

This project's research objective is the challenging chemical transformation of CO2. Competence Center CHASE is working closely with industrial partners and the Institute for Chemical Technologies of Organic Materials on a viable strategy to turn waste into value and a greener future.
