Which authors will be accepted?
Corresponding authors affiliated with JKU and/or members of an Austrian Science Fund project at the time of acceptance.

How are the authors identified?
By the e-mail domain and/or the institution name (JKU), and/or the funding agency, (Austrian Science Fund), or the Grant ID number.

Are there any costs or fees for authors?
No. There are no APC charges for editorials, addendums, corrections and retractions. All other types of publications can either be funded by the Austrian Science Fund as part of a project, or the author fees for Open Access publishing in MDPI journals will automatically paid for out of the university's publication fund until the available funds are exhausted. All eligibility criteria must be met.

What is the process for authors?
After submitting an article, the library or the Austrian Science Fund will automatically receive a message from the publisher. After the institution or Austrian Science Fund reviews the author's eligibility to receive funding, the author will receive notification that the respective institution has assumed the APC.
