All students, faculty members, and employees at the Faculty of Medicine can be vaccinated against Covid-19 on Thursday, March 11, and Friday, March 12. Following mandatory in-house registration, those wishing to receive the vaccine will get the first dose of AstraZeneca at this time. The second dose will be administered in June.

As members at the JKU Faculty of Medicine are consistently in close contact with hospitals and patients, they are not only more frequently exposed to becoming infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, but could also potentially spread the virus on to more vulnerable and susceptible individuals.

The Upper Austrian government’s Crisis Team and the Johannes Kepler University Linz look forward to great interest in signing up to receive the vaccine.
