Post-Doctorate/Habilitation.

Upon request or by submitting an application, the Rectorate has the right to confer teaching authorization and qualifications (venia docendi) in an entire academic/scientific subject area.

The criteria list Minimal requirements for Habilitation at the Faculty of Medicine at the Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU), opens a file includes the minimum requirements that applicants must fulfill in order to complete a habilitation procedure at the JKU's Faculty of Medicine, in compliance with § 103 of the 2002 Universities Act and the section on the Habilitation procedure, opens in new window in the JKU's currently valid version.

Post-doc/habilitation candidates pursuing habilitation qualifications based on the JKU Linz’ rules and regulations and criteria in regard to earning a post-doc/habilitation in a medical subject area can request that the Vice-Rector for Medicine reviews documents according to the requirements for Habilitation at the Faculty of Medicine at the Johannes Kepler University Linz. The results can then be discussed as part of a voluntary consulting meeting. In this regard, disclose all of your examination information so it is accessible. The form Formblatt für die Prüfung der inhaltlichen Mindestvoraussetzungen einer Habilitation, opens a file at the JKU MED is intended to assist in providing required information (use the criteria catalog to fill the form out completely) as well as assist in writing an initial assessment pertaining to academic achievement with regard to the criteria.

 

In order to evaluate the quality of scientific/academic publications, please use the corresponding journal's impact factor which can be determined either by consulting an ISI list or, if you have no access to the list, via InCites Journal Citation Reports, opens an external URL in a new window.
