Maria Farkhondeh is a PhD student and research project assistant at the Institute for Human Resource Management and Change Management at Johannes Kepler University (JKU) Linz. In 2012, Maria spent a year at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, graduated in 2016 and received her Diploma (Mag.a) in Social Sciences and Economics from JKU. In her studies, she focused on International Marketing and Operations Management and specialized in International Management. For several years she has been working as an organizational developer and consultant in Austria's largest IT and system house. Her special interest and research focus lies in investigating the interplay of new forms of organizing in relation with organizational identity formation processes as well as their influence on organizational development and change processes. The aim of her research is to draw practical implications for the development of organizations in the digital context.
