The new publication, "The Next Renaissance", features some 40 articles written by over 60 European researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and professionals in art & culture. EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen initiated the New European Bauhaus Initiative in 2021 and remarked that the Green Transformation, " ... is not just an environmental or economic project: it needs to be a new cultural project for Europe". Based on this goal, the publication collects ideas, visions, and best-practice examples in an effort to shape Europe's future, especially given the large-scale transformations and in lieu of current challenges.

Under the title "Innovation through Universitas" and based on projects at Johannes Kepler University Linz, Vice-Rector Christopher Lindinger and Kerstin Pell composed a statement expressing just how important it is to be transdisciplinary and bring art and science together.
