Kristina-Pia Hofer

Kristina-Pia Hofer is a post-doctoral candidate at the Department of Media Studies (University of Applied Arts Vienna)

Kristina-Pia Hofer is an Elise Richter Fellow at the Department of Media Studies at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, currently writing a post-doc/habilitation dissertation focusing on sonic methods and physical-political situations.
Over the past thirty years, Hofer has performed as a musician (The Boiler, Voiler, Pfarre) and - together with collaboration partners (Puke Puddle, Peace Vaults, Intuition) - and has been teaching courses about feminist theory, cultural studies, media theory and academic writing. Her many publications explore body, society and materials by embedding these topics within the context of media representation. She works at the crossroads of history, media, performance and music.
