Math Problems of the Month

Solve three challenging math problems by yourself each month and then upload your answers to our Moodle course. You can earn up to five points for each correctly solved problem.

 

You can join the course at any time. You have until the end of each month to solve the problems and then after that, new problems will be ready for you. We hope you have lots of fun and enjoy the challenge!

Jedes Monat werden unter den Teilnehmer*innen mit der höchsten Punktezahl in der Kategorie Miximathik tolle Sachpreise der Industriellenvereinigung Oberösterreich verlost.

Everyone who takes part and is invited to the awards ceremony on June 11, 2024, at the JKU Linz will be given a prize (there are many different puzzle games to choose from). The most successful minimathletes and maximathletes can look forward to winning one of the four main prizes:

  • A 3D printer
  • A smartwatch
  • A bluetooth headset
  • Escape Room vouchers

The main prizes will be awarded in both categories.

The prizes will only be presented to those persons in attendance at the awards ceremony at the JKU Linz. Prizes cannot be mailed or redeemed for cash. All decisions are final.

Awards Ceremony at the JKU Linz

The awards ceremony for the Minimathics and Maximathics categories took place at the JKU Linz on June 19, 2023.

 

We would like to congratulate all of the winners and we wish them all the best for the future!

 

Once again, there are some fantastic prizes to win during the current academic year.
