Supplementary Examinations - Subject Areas.

German

  • Completing a fee-based language module up to the required level of language proficiency is mandatory
  • One module consists of 3 courses
  • We offer the following modules: B1, B2 and C1
  • The Center for Business Languages will render any decision regarding placement to a higher language level course.

The pre-study program consists of course modules designed to help you learn German. Depending on your intended major, you will need a B2 or C1 level of language proficiency. The modules are designed so that you can complete one level at a time during one semester.

In order to enroll in a pre-study program, you must hold a letter of admission issued by the university that you may enroll in a German-language degree program once you have successfully completed the German courses for the corresponding level of language proficiency.

When enrolled in the pre-study program, you will not yet be permitted to take any courses in your intended major. (The exception is one course in the Gender Studies program - see the FAQs section).

Contact the Center for Business Languages to learn more about signing up for the German courses.
