Studying as a Parent

Combining university studies and childcare can be a challenge. But together we can do it!  In addition to advising centers, the JKU provides support services on the campus making it easier for you to balance life's responsibilities. In addition to offering flexible childcare services (during the summer as well!), there are diaper changing stations, play areas and high chairs available on campus. Your little one should feel just as comfortable here as you do.

Advising Services

Our tip: Our brochure "Studieren mit Kind" is published by the Austrian Students Union and offers information on how to balance studies and family life as well as childcare responsibilities.

Family-Friendly Infrastructure

Our campus has a lot to offer parents who have children. In addition to diaper-changing tables (see campus map) and high chairs at the university cafeteria, there is also a children's play corner located at the Department for Teaching and Study Services. You can easily learn more about studies and how to earn a degree.

Flexible Childcare Services

Being able to successfully  combine work, university studies, and family life is very important to us. Here at the JKU we offer flexible childcare services for both students and employees. Click here for information about our facility, opening hours, and fees.
