Looking for a great location to hold a conference or workshop?

The JKU offers a variety of space and rooms that can also be rented to external parties. This includes our extensive range of services as well!

Conferences, workshops, meetings, and much more. The JKU campus not only has 19 lecture halls and approximately 60 seminar rooms available on campus, but event rooms as well, specially designed to hold large or small events.

The JKU rents ample space for events for both in-house and external parties:

Rooms at the Uni Center

The Uni Center is perfect for large or small events. The newly designed event & ceremony room in particular is ideal for special occasions.
Start in Spring 2019, you can also book the "Turmzimmer" space located in the new 'Somnium'. The new spectacular viewing platform atop the TN Tower is now home to a small inspirational space designed to provide a collaborative working environment.

Booking is easy!

  1. Please call the Room & Accommodations Office to inquire about room availability. We look forward to helping you plan your event!

  2. Contact us about booking a room and we will e-mail you a form. Please complete the form and return it to us.

  3. After reviewing your room request we will send you confirmation by e-mail.

Advertising on Campus

Would you like to promote your event? Or just to draw attention to a specific product? Our campus is the ideal location. The following options are available:

 

Distributing Flyers

Service Fee:
€ 55 per day and each time flyers are distributed

Important Information:
Flyers must have a valid imprint (full address, an internet link is insufficient).
Flyer distribution is not permitted in seminar rooms, lecture halls, event rooms, offices, and at the Science Park.

Distributing Newspapers/Magazines

Service Fee:
€ 115 per day for each time and per distribution

Important Information:
Printed material must have a valid imprint (full address, an internet link is insufficient).

Product Distribution

Service Fee:
€ 115 per day and for each time distributed

When filling out the reservation form, please indicate if you require certain items (such as bar tables) or access to electrical outlets. May be subject to additional fees. Information stands can be set up at various locations around campus. Please call or send an e-mail for more information.

This is how it works!

 

  1. Kindly contact us in advance to inquire about the availability of stands or when our distribution days are. Our team at the Office for Room & Accommodations Services looks forward to helping you.

  2. Please indicate the following required information per e-mail:

    • Billing address
    • UID number/association number/commercial registration number
    • Date(s)
    • If necessary, additional equipment (such as access to electrical outlets, etc.)
    • If flyers are to be distributed, please send a sample that includes the legal disclosure
  3. After reviewing your request, we will e-mail confirmation about your reservation by e-mail.

Parking (Subject to Fees)

Parking at the JKU is subject to fees.

Visitor Permit (to be purchased by the event organizer):
up to 40 exit tickets € 6.30 per ticket
41 exit tickets or more € 4.75 per ticket

Order exit tickets by sending to an e-mail to the Office of Room & Accommodation Services

Visitor Fee (visitors will have to pay for parking at the parking machine on campus):
€ 1.00 for each half hour

WiFi Access

In order to use WiFi on the campus, you and your guests will need official access to WiFi services.

To apply for official access during your scheduled event, please indicate on the room reservation form how many people require access. Please submit the form and the information to the Room & Accommodation Office (raumplanung@jku.at) at least 5 working days before the event. 

There is flat rate fee of €10 to access WiFi on campus (regardless of how many people attend the event).

Directions to the Event Room(s).

Providing clear signs to point guests in the right direction is important in order to help ensure that events at the UNI Center run smoothly.
Event Management will provide the corresponding signs to help guests find your event at the UNI Center.

Options::

  1. A printed format at the Event Managment office (Kopfgebäude Bldg., Rm. KG007). 
  2. A digital version (PDF, A3 landscape format) sent to: raumplanung@jku.at

Please send the information at least three working days before the event starts, however two weeks before at the earliest!
