New Professor for Business Analytics and Technology Transformation

Markus Sinnl took up the professorship for Business Analytics and Technology Transformation at the beginning of July.

The Professorship for Business Analytics and Technology Transformation strengthens the Supply Chain and Information Management Division of the JKU Business School. For the time being, it is assigned to the Institute of Production and Logistics Management.

Markus Sinnl studied computer science at TU Wien and earned his doctorate in operations research at the University of Vienna. In 2021, he was awarded the Venia Docendi (habilitation) for Operations Research. He is one of the most research-intensive scientists in business administration under 40 in the German-speaking world and is currently leading an FWF-funded COVID-19 project dealing with mathematical programming methods in the context of pandemic networks. In teaching, Markus Sinnl will be particularly active in the Master's program Economic and Business Analytics.
