EGOS 2023 Cagliari

This year, more than 2500 researchers answered the call of the 39th EGOS (European Group for Organizational Studies) conference from July 6th to 8th. In the beautiful ambience of the Sardinian capital Cagliari. The conference revolved around the theme "Organizing for the Good Life: Between Legacy and Imagination".

The Institute of Strategic Management took part in this prestigious event in three different groups. The head of the institute, Professor Waldemar Kremser was one of the convenors of the track on "Routines Dynamics: Enacting and Crossing Boundaries". More than 30 submissions showed the interest of this exciting field of research and enabled intensive exchange within this research community.

Theresa Füreder was able to present her research on "Exploring the interplay of open strategy processes and organizational roles" and discuss her ideas with fellow researchers. She received helpful feedback for continuing her project. Fabio Damm presented his research project entitled "Beacons & Breadcrumbs: Objects for Making Sense of the Future" to his research community and was able to establish valuable contacts with international colleagues.

Exciting discussions with colleagues during the breaks and at the closing dinner allowed to pursue new research ideas and to further develop existing projects.

We are already looking forward to the 40th edition of the conference, which will take place in Milan!
