The November 8 CCC focused on solar energy. Coders had to help avert an energy crisis that would paralyze our planet in less than a few decades by finding an efficient way to conserve each country's resources. The participants were divided into two groups: school students and regular participants. The competition took place in 37 cities in 16 countries and on three continents.
