A publicly-accessible GESPOL class unit focused on those with disabilities in particular. Course instructor Angela Wegscheider aims to support a group-wide, politically active disability-movement and present students and the interested public with new research findings. Following opening remarks, the course instructor welcomed guest speaker Volker Schönwiese, retired professor for Disability Studies at the University of Innsbruck, who held a special presentation for over 100 audience members about the content and findings of the project History of the Disability Movements. Following the presentation, disability movement activists discussed the presentation with reference to their own personal experiences, including their ideas for the future.
