Students had an opportunity to spend a semester focusing intensively on various aspects of the plastics industry based on content covered as part of the course "Management and Marketing" taught by Dr. Christiane Steinlechner, MA. The course covered a variety of important topics ranging from the legal parameters, ESG criteria, and SDG targets, to greenwashing and recycling.

Experts at the JKU as well as a number of industry professionals provided the students with guidance and support as the students prepared their respective pitches. The event's highlight featured the teams' pitches, in which they presented their proposed approaches to a distinguished jury that included Mag. Tusek (JKU Vice-Rector for Finance and Entrepreneurship), Assoc. Univ. Prof. DI Dr.mont. Jörg Fischer (department head), Birgit Wimmer (tech2b Inkubator Ltd.), Michael Thaler (Teach for Austria), and Maria Buchmayr (JKU Office of Sustainability).

The strongest pitch came from the Greiner team, taking the win at the Student Plastics Challenge.
