Legal Experts in Training: JKU Law Students Try "Real" Cases

Students at this year's "2021 Moot Administrative Court" had an opportunity at the Upper Austrian Regional Administrative Court to practice a current legal case in the area of weapons law.

Law students, course instructors, and supporting staff at this year's moot court.

As part of a mock court proceeding, JKU law students prepared legal research, wrote briefs, and completed viable oral arguments as they took on challenging roles as opposing legal parties, the involved authorities, and a panel of judges. The experience gave students a unique opportunity to emulate the experience of arguing a case in court. Afterwards, course instructors Univ. Prof. Dr. Andreas Janko and Univ.-Prof. Dr. David Lee joined with Regional Court President Hon. Prof. Dr. Johannes Fischer in providing the students with valuable and detailed feedback.
