What’s Left from “1968”? - 50 Years of History at the JKU Linz

50 years of history has been written at the JKU – and researched. The JKU’s history departments will mark the occasion with a special celebration.

Both history institutes have been a part of the JKU since the very beginning. The professorships for Economic & Social History as well as Modern & Contemporary History were established during the 1967/1968 academic year and very quickly, both professorships led to the establishment of full-fledged academic institutes. The 50th anniversary of both institutes at the JKU is an occasion to take part in the “1968” debate – and celebrate.
