Students from the new IBA Bachelor program visited the ARS Electronica Center & voestalpine Stahlwelt

To get to know each other better, IBA students visited the ARS Electronica Center, opens an external URL in a new window and the voestalpine Stahlwelt, opens an external URL in a new window one week before the start of the semester.

During the highlight tour at the ARS Electronica Center, students visited the "Artificial Intelligence meets Music, opens an external URL in a new window" & the "There Is No Planet B, opens an external URL in a new window" exhibitions. "AI meets Music" is an exhibition about the encounter of Artificial Intelligence and music as well as about the encounter of human creativity and technical perfection. In the "There Is No Planet B" exhibition, students were not only made aware of the urgency of the climate situation, but rather it also shows that there are approaches to solutions and an increasingly broad social commitment.

An experienced guide accompanied us into a new world! In the voestalpine Stahlwelt, we learned everything about steel, its production and processing, and the success stories of voestapline. We moved through the world of voestalpine over five levels, were able to mix different types of steel ourselves and understand the structure of a blast furnace wall. Following the guided tour of the voestalpine Stahlwelt, students took a multimedia bus to the 5.2 km² plant site and visited several production facilities.
