JKU Professor Becomes Honorary Senator in Graz

Univ. Prof. Hanspeter Mössenböck has been pivotal in shaping the field of Computer Science and his reputation extends beyond Linz’ borders. The Graz University of Technology has appointed him an Honorary Senator.

Prof. Mössenböck was a University Council member in Graz for many years. Harald Kainz, Rector of the Graz University of Technology, remarked, "Today’s ceremony expresses our appreciation of everything he has done for our Alma Mater.”

Hanspeter Mössenböck, head of the Institute for Systems Software at the JKU, was a member of the University Council at the Graz University of Technology between 2008 and 2018 as well a board representative, playing a key role in the university’s successful development and future strategy.

In addition to the JKU professor, two other academics were also appointed honorary senators.
