Smart technologies are not only shaping the future, but industry as well. To better learn how to customize software and fit a company’s needs, researchers at Pro2Future visited Fronius and completed a welding course. Hands-on, real-world experience is a part of the job at Fronius. In June, additional field tests using 3D glasses currently in development were carried out for documentation purposes at partner company KEBA in Linz.

Pro2Future develops cognitive systems that are becoming increasingly present as part of the Internet of Things. The company’s research focuses on pervasive computing and automation. The JKU is one of the five shareholders.
