Top Business Idea: Aid for Medical Rehab Patients

Georg Teufl took part in the BezirksRundschau idea competition finale “120 Sekunden” at the JKU and emerged as the winner, presenting the jury with a virtually supported medical rehab system.

Contestants pitched their ideas on campus in the JKU’s event & ceremony room. The Bad Ischl native presented his idea which combines virtual reality with real medical rehabilitation measures. A sensor wristband reads hand motions, transferring the user into a virtual, motivating environment. The virtual medical rehab space requires a smartphone and the corresponding device to place in front of the patient’s eyes as well as the aforementioned sensor wristband – a revolutionary approach.

Georg Teufl won €5,000 in prize money for his idea. Competition organizers received over 90 submissions.
