Over 60 information stands will feature representatives from the JKU, universities of applied sciences, as well as health profession institutions and the Austrian military to consult will Upper Austrian students.

JKU Vice-Rector Prof. Andreas Janko remarked: "This study fair features the broad range of educational opportunities available today. At the JKU alone, we offer over 70 academic degree programs, including new programs such as Artificial Intelligence and Medical Engineering. We have one goal: to support our future students’ curiosity and quest for knowledge. With this in mind, I wish all of our visitors have good conversations, but above all, lots of information to help choose a path that takes their future in the right direction."

Programs for All Interests and Talents

Christine Haberlander, Minister for Health and Education, emphasized the numerous educational opportunities: "The students’ choice of major has a decisive influence on their lives so it is important they learn about everything available to them. The educational choices can seem like a ‘jungle’ and study information fairs such as the SIM provide great support. Even if many students do not know what they want to major in, just getting a variety of information at the SIM fair is very important. I expect the 2019 SIM fair will continue providing the same excellent service to young people that it has offered since the beginning and during my visit, I look forward to productive discussions with the prospective students."

The SIM study information fair goes to Friday, September 20, from 9.15 am to 2.15 pm.
