Students spending a study-relevant stay abroad can apply for a financial aid scholarship:

 

Merit Scholarships and Study Grants

Did you complete your degree program in the alotted time with an average GPA of no less than 2.0? Or is your Diploma degree/Master's thesis or doctoral dissertation deserving of financial support? Here you will find information you need to apply for a JKU merit scholarship or a study grant. The scholarships are awarded annually and funds have been made available by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and the Economy.

MORE - Scholarship for Refugees
 

Since 2015 the JKU Linz is part of the UNIKO MORE initiative that supports refugee students who are enrolled in the university preparation program (MOREclassic) as well as in a regular study program (Borealis-MORE-Scholarship). The scholarships are awarded annually. The Borealis-MORE-Scholarship is sponsored by Borealis AG, Vienna.

Graduation Scholarship

The Graduate Scholarship was created for students approaching the end phase of attaining their academic goal. Prerequisites include only have a few examinations to pass until degree completion or - if graduate requirements include writing a Diploma degree or Master's thesis - that the student has begun writing the thesis.

Please note: Doctoral/PhD candidates are not eligible to receive a graduation scholarship.

Fellowship and Awards for Academics and Scientists

The Department of Gender & Diversity Management would like to take this opportunity to announce both the annual IRIS FISCHLMAYR Fellowship & Awards and the annual ZONTA Award.

Named in memory of the JKU economist and business professor who passed away in 2017, the IRIS FISCHLMAYR Award and the accompanying prize money is presented in recognition of outstanding scientific/academic work (Master’s/Diploma degree theses and dissertations) that include a reference to diversity. The IRIS FISCHLMAYR Fellowship is a dissertation grant awarded to support junior female academics and scientists in the field of engineering and natural sciences at the JKU.

In cooperation with the ZONTA Club Linz, the ZONTA Award is presented to a particularly driven, socially active female student majoring in an academic degree program at the Faculty of Engineering & Natural Sciences.
